Job Description

Our client in Reno, NV is looking for a qualified Journeyman Mechanic with experience in aircraft standard mechanical maintenance. This is a contract-to-hire, long-term opportunity centrally located in Reno, NV.

Duties:

• Work with the Fleet Manager to maintain a fleet of vehicles.

• Assist the Manager in developing and maintaining a top-notch maintenance program that focuses on the continued safe and reliable operation of the fleet.

• Perform all necessary repairs, checks, and preventative maintenance required, up to and including major overhauls.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.

• Assist the Manager in educating operators about the various functions of the vehicles.

• Familiarize and repair to applicable standards all interior non-medical equipment such as gurneys, fasteners, lifts, and emergency warning devices.

• Be courteous and helpful to employees and represent the organization in a professional manner.

• Other duties as assigned.

Hard Skills

• 3-5 years experience as a professional mechanic
• ASE A4/A5 certification
• Valid NV or CA Driver License
• Mechanical aptitude
• Operation of common shop hand and power tools
• Ability to read and apply shop manuals and manufacturer bulletins
• Operation of simple computer programs and modern vehicular diagnostic equipment
• Forklift certification
• OSHA 10
• EPA 609 Certification within 30 days
• ASE A1, A2, A3, A6, A7, and A8 within 18 months

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
