Red Bank, NJ law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney

Our client, a growing boutique law firm, primarily focuses their practice on wills, trusts & estates planning, probate & administration matters, residential & commercial real estate transactions, and business law matters in both NJ & NY. We handle some litigation related to these fields but primarily related to probate & administration matters.

We are looking for someone interested in growing with our firm long term.

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in New Jersey is required. Admission to Practice in New York is a plus.

  • 2+ years in Wills, trusts, & estate law experience required

  • 2+ years in Probate & Administration (both contested and uncontested matters) experience required

  • Real estate and commercial leasing experience preferred

  • Applicants with real estate experience are preferred and capable associates will also be involved in the firm's real estate matters.

  • Applicant MUST be motivated, well rounded, articulate, be able to think on his or her feet, multitask, communicate well, be responsive to clients, able to maintain client relationships, and be able to creatively problem solve.

  • Must have excellent writing skills and be proficient with technology including the Microsoft Office platform (Teams, Outlook, Excel) & Westlaw, be detail oriented & be able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience with Clio client database system is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • This position involves immediate and direct client interaction.

  • Associate will directly handle and be primarily responsible for a significant case load,

  • Assist the firm in ongoing cases primarily consisting of probate & administration matters, both uncontested and some involving contested Surrogate's court litigation, from inception through conclusion.

We utilize a compensation structure that rewards the associate for referred business and also includes a performance based bonus structure and contribution for health insurance coverage.

Work Schedule: On-site to start; 1 day remote after

Salary: 100-135k

Start: ASAP
