Job Title:Part-Time Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location:Detroit, MI

Position Overview:

  • Schedule:Part-time, flexible hours.
  • Start Date:ASAP
  • End Date:Through the current school year, with the potential for renewal.
  • Location:Onsite at a school in Detroit, MI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students therapy needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living tasks.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans to support student growth.
  • Deliver therapy services in individual or group settings, focused on achieving IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy techniques into the classroom.
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Attend IEP meetings to provide expert recommendations and updates on student progress.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations and school policies.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Previous experience in a school setting or working with children is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
