Job Description

We are looking to add material handlers to our team. The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of all materials to and from the production department. This role ensures the safe and effective operation of forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, as well as daily pre-shift forklift checks, including battery changes.

Responsibilities
  • Move materials to and from the production department.
  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
  • Perform daily pre-shift forklift checks and battery changes.
  • Inspect products to ensure proper packaging for shipment to customers.
  • Consistently lift boxes weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Properly and completely fill out labels and paperwork.
  • Verify correct weights and counts of materials.
  • Construct cardboard boxes from collapsed cartons.
  • Relieve packers for all breaks.
Essential Skills
  • Material handling experience.
  • Forklift operating experience.
  • Experience with production, picking, sit down forklift, clamp forklift, and pallet jack operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior manufacturing experience.
  • 6 months of forklift experience required.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills.

We offer bonuses every June and December based on production and company performance. Employees are eligible for a $1,000 referral bonus, and perfect attendance bonuses of $500 are awarded twice a year (January-June and July-December). You will receive 1 week of time off in your first year and 2 weeks in your second year.

Work Environment

The work environment details will be provided after a tour. There are two shifts available: 7am - 7pm (A & B) and 7pm - 7am (C & D), working 15 days of the year. Note that no call, no show (NCNS) results in automatic termination, and 2 call-ins are allowed per month.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50
