Material Handler

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at a facility in Bettendorf, IA. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in delivering exceptional results.
Salary: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and efficient workflow by effectively moving materials throughout the production department.
- Operate various equipment, including forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, with precision and care.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of equipment, ensuring all necessary checks are completed and batteries are properly charged.
- Inspect packaged products for accuracy and completeness before shipping to customers.
- Lift boxes weighing up to 35 pounds with ease and maintain a clean workspace.
- Accurately complete labels and paperwork, verifying correct weights and counts.
- Construct cardboard boxes from collapsed cartons, showcasing attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Relieve packers during breaks, promoting teamwork and effective time management.
- Minimum 6 months of recent forklift experience, with a proven track record of safety and efficiency.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with a focus on continuous learning and professional development.
