Job Description

The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling electrical systems and components in accordance with engineering schematics and specifications. You will be required to assemble the electrical components and control devices to heavy subassembly units based off the electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams. Wiring of circuits, outlets, and switches as well as calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet product tolerances is essential. You will need to know how to operate basic tools such as drills, impacts, and grinders from day one. Sometimes you will work alone, and other times with a group of other assemblers. You will also operate material handling devices and lifts including pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and mobile floor cranes.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical components and control devices according to engineering schematics and specifications.
  • Wire circuits, outlets, and switches.
  • Calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet product tolerances.
  • Operate basic tools such as drills, impacts, and grinders.
  • Work independently or as part of a team of assemblers.
  • Operate material handling devices and lifts including pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and mobile floor cranes.
Essential Skills
  • 3-5 years of electrical assembly experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficiency in operating measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.
  • 3-5 years of experience operating forklifts and scissor lifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with assembly, hand tools, production, power tools, electrical assembly, bending conduit, cable trays, blueprints, and schematics.

Work Environment

You will work in a production environment with exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, and other hazards. You will frequently lift and move objects between 10 to 50 pounds. Safety protocols must be followed at all times. The position operates on a first shift schedule from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
