Job Description

The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling electrical systems and components in accordance with engineering schematics and specifications. You will be required to assemble the electrical components and control devices to heavy subassembly units based on the electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams. Wiring of circuits, outlets, and switches, as well as calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet product tolerances, will be part of your daily tasks. Basic tools such as drills, impacts, and grinders will be provided, but you must know how to operate these tools from day one. At times, you may work alone, and at other times, you will collaborate with a group of other assemblers. Operating material handling devices and lifts, including pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and mobile floor cranes, is also required.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical systems and components according to engineering schematics and specifications.
  • Assemble electrical components and control devices to heavy subassembly units.
  • Wire circuits, outlets, and switches.
  • Calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet product tolerances.
  • Operate basic tools such as drills, impacts, and grinders.
  • Work independently or as part of a team of assemblers.
  • Operate material handling devices and lifts, including pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and mobile floor cranes.
  • Fit, test, and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
Essential Skills
  • 3-5 years of electrical assembly experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics.
  • Proficiency in operating measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.
  • 3-5 years of experience operating forklift and scissor lifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with assembly, hand tools, production, power tools, electrical assembly, bending conduit, cable tray, blueprint, and schematic interpretation.

Work Environment

This role is based in a production environment with exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, and other hazards. You will frequently lift and move objects weighing between 10 to 50 pounds. Safety protocols must be followed at all times. The night shift hours are from 3:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
