Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is in the Service industry and involves managing financial transactions with precision and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and operate QuickBooks accounting software efficiently
• Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the correct daybook, suppliers' ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
• Handle accounts receivable/payable and process payroll in a timely manner
• Perform checks of the posting process to ensure accuracy
• Maintain and update financial statements and records diligently
• Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Bring the books to the trial balance stage
• Complete tax forms as required
• Perform regular account reconciliation activities
• Prepare month end close reports and perform bank reconciliations.• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is necessary for managing and balancing company ledgers
• Must be experienced in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and ensuring timely payments
• Capability to manage Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain accurate financial records
• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are correct
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Bookkeeping are required for maintaining financial records
• Proficiency in Data Entry to ensure accurate record keeping
• Must be skilled in using Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis
• Ability to handle Month End Close activities to finalize financial transactions of the month
• Experience in managing Payroll to ensure all employees are paid correctly and timely
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing accounting tasks is essential
