Tax Preparer

Pay Rate: $18-$25 an hour

Express Employment of Tarrytown NY is Looking for Tax Preparers for the upcoming season in Westchester NY.  Our clients pride themselves on offering personalized and efficient services to their diverse client base. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season.

Job Description: As a Tax Preparer, you will:

·         Prepare individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently

·         Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures

·         Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

·         Identify potential tax credits and deductions to maximize client refunds

·         Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns

·         Maintain confidentiality and security of client information

Qualifications:

·         Previous experience as a Tax Preparer or in a related role

·         Proficiency with tax preparation software and MS Office Suite

·         Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·         High attention to detail and accuracy

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus
