Job DescriptionJob Description

LHH is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

  • Record journal entries and ensure accuracy in financial data.

  • Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Assist in preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process invoices, payments, and customer billings.

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.

  • Bank Reconciliations:

  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Audit Support:

  • Assist in preparing documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Support the finance team in creating budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Analyze variances between actuals and budgeted figures.

  • Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and other regulatory requirements.

  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.

  • Experience:

  • 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) is preferred.

  • Skills:

  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Compensation: $30-$35/hour DOE

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
