Job DescriptionJob Description

LHH is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant to join our client growing company in Bellevue, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll entries.

  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.

  • Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or trends and provide recommendations.

  • Conduct account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation.

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

  • Monitor and report on company spending and financial performance.

  • Provide support for special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working toward certification is a plus.

Compensation: $30-$35/hour DOE
