Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to foster an inclusive learning environment
  • Create and deliver lesson plans that address diverse learning styles and meet state standards
  • Track student progress, providing regular feedback and documentation to parents and school staff
  • Promote a positive classroom atmosphere where students feel supported and motivated to learn
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid Massachusetts teaching license in Special Education
  • Possess a Moderate Disabilities PreK-8 or Moderate Disabilities 5-12 certification, depending on the grade level being taught
  • Bachelors degree (Masters degree preferred) in Special Education or a related field
  • Strong commitment to supporting students with disabilities and diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
