Sr. Accountant

Non-Profit Education Industry is looking for a Sr. Staff Accountant to backfill someone that is retiring. The goal is to hire someone ASAP so they can cross train before the person leaves in late November.

Job Title Sr. Accountant (on-site)
Location: Claremont
Pay rate: $50 or asking rate
Schedule: M - F 8-5 or flexible with schedule
Type: Temp or Temp-to-Hire

Will be reporting to the CFO and Controller. Tasks/responsibilities:

• Audit Schedules
• Journal Entries
• Debt Accounting
• Lease Accounting
• Fixed Asset Accounting
• Investments
• Preliminary Financial Statement

Requirements

* Non-Profit accounting experience
* Endowment
* Fixed Assets
* Blackbaud experience preferred but not required

• Must be able to work on-site no exception
• Must be able to pass a life scan background
• Heavy accounting background
• Non-Profit background
• Higher Education experience preferred
• Tech/database savvy
• experience with accounting system BlackBaud (higher education accounting system) preferred
• Advanced in Excel (this software is used for a lot of internal spreadsheets)
• CPA/CMA preferred, not required
