Job Description

A manufacturer in the northeastern Indianapolis area is searching for a CNC Laser Operator to join their team on the 2nd shift. This role involves setting up and operating CNC laser machinery, ensuring precision in cutting and shaping metal parts according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC laser machinery.
• Insert metal sheets or parts into the machine to be cut, contoured, or bent to customer specifications.
• Lift and shake out sheet metal, discarding scrap.
• Use calipers and blueprints to ensure parts meet client specifications.
• Prepare parts for the Fabrication/Welding department.

Essential Skills

• Laser operating experience.
• Ability to read basic blueprints.
• Ability to stand for 12 hours.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience setting up a CNC laser.
• Experience with other fabrication machinery (press, grinder, bender, etc.).
