Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction estimating, with a focus on delivering accurate cost estimates for various projects. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project plans, identifying cost-effective solutions, and ensuring that all estimates align with client expectations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to assess the scope of work.
  • Utilize Xactimate software to generate precise estimates, taking into consideration materials, labor, and other project requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure estimates align with project goals.
  • Analyze and interpret cost data, identify trends, and suggest cost-saving opportunities where possible.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and insurance companies to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies to assess and provide estimates for repair or reconstruction costs.
  • Evaluate changes in project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.
  • Ensure all estimates are compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a construction estimator in residential projects (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using Xactimate software and reading blueprints.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Experience working with insurance companies and understanding insurance-related estimates is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
