Candidates will need:

• (ASCP) Cytotechnologist Certification - CT (ASCP) (Thin Prep Certification Required)
• MUST be a recent Cytology Program Graduate OR have degree and recent hospital-based experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology, Biology, or Life Sciences
• 12 month CAAHEP accredited Cytotechnology Program completed

3-5 years previous clinical CYTOGENETICS/MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTIC experience PREFERREED**

 

Role Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Medical Director and Section Manager, Cytotechnologists are responsible for the evaluation and reporting of negative gynecological cases, evaluation and interpretation of abnormal gynecological, non-gynecological and fine needle aspiration cases. Cytotechnologist are responsible for identifying diagnostic material and referring cases to the pathologists appropriately. Serve as a member of the Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) team providing on site adequacy evaluation of FNA procedures. Provide technical advice and perform cyto-preparation and processing as needed. Must maintain records of screening slide counts and other activities. Maintain Quality Control records where indicated. Assist cytology management in gathering data relevant to quality assurance activities, continuous improvement activities and/or other special projects.

**Must be willing to travel to other Endeavor Health Sites

Hours: FT - Day Shift, 40 hours/week 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00p

Starting Pay: $33.75 (increases based on experience)**
