Job DescriptionJob Description
Job Summary:As a Manufacturing Laboratory Technician I, you will play a vital role in the production of chemical and biological reagents. You will be responsible for executing manufacturing instructions, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and supporting laboratory operations while ensuring adherence to safety and quality practices.
Key Responsibilities:Execute instructions to manufacture chemical and biological reagents.Record and audit information, including batch records and log books.Analyze data against predetermined requirements to ensure product quality.Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, such as pH and conductivity meters.Perform laboratory duties as required, including restocking and sanitizing workstations.Utilize SAP software for production transactions and inventory control.Exhibit knowledge and implementation of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Maintain compliance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and FDA requirements.Develop technical skills with guidance from biochemists and management.Handle all types of materials, including hazardous and DEA-controlled materials.
Required Qualifications:Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in a science field (biochemistry, biology, chemistry, etc.).
Skills:Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong work ethic and attention to detail.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.Physical capability to bend, squat, and lift up to 20 pounds.Ability to push/pull large tanks (with assistance) and to stand for extended periods.Proficient in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel).Must pass a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) background check.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working in a cGMP manufacturing laboratory or a similar laboratory environment is preferred.
