Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary: Seeking an Upholstery Tech II to fabricate and install aircraft interior components using design specifications and engineering drawings.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 2 years experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and various hand tools in upholstery and carpet trades

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation

  • Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math computations

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the aerospace industry

Job Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, cover, and install flat panels and curtains using design/engineering drawings

  • Sew simple covers as per design/engineering drawings

  • Work with materials such as fabric, vinyl, leather hides, composites using specified adhesives, sewing equipment, hardware, hand tools, and power tools

  • Cut and surge carpets; cover bulkheads; cover/install panels

  • Fabricate metal parts; fit panels/windows; handle cabin head liners, upper sidewalls, lower side panels, hatch panels

  • Utilize material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, sign-off work

  • Collaborate with lead technicians to implement process improvements for safety, cost reduction, cycle time reduction using Lean Manufacturing techniques



Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
