LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Purchasing Agent / Senior Purchasing Agent for our client to manage inventory and vendor relationships efficiently


Job Title: Purchasing Agent / Senior Purchasing Agent
Client Industry: HVAC Wholesale Distribution
Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Location: Onsite, Spring, TX 77389
Compensation: $75K - $80K
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (8 AM – 5 PM) – One Hour Lunch

Position Summary:
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for ordering stock inventory for all branch locations for their designated group of product lines. The Purchasing Agent ensures adequate stock levels and manages those levels to maintain an efficient flow of inventory while adhering to budget and department guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data to determine order quantity

  • Manage and process purchase orders in compliance with corporate guidelines

  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors

  • Follow-up and expedite purchase orders

  • Create plans to minimize loss and prevent inventory from becoming aged

  • Work closely with vendors and store managers to maximize product sales potential

  • Perform intercompany audits, including cycle counts and physical inventories

  • Perform other duties as required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to solve practical problems and work under pressure

  • Basic Microsoft Excel experience

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Experience with ERP systems not required

  • Experience with Eclipse E-term is desirable but not required

  • HVAC experience is desired

  • Motivated and eager to learn

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
