Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

MEP Engineering- Mechanical Design Engineer- MEP- HVAC- Plumbing

Our client, based in Union County, NJ is actively seeking to hire a mid-level Mechanical Engineer to the organization for a full-time permanent staff opportunity. Work closely with senior engineers assisting in designing HVAC and plumbing systems on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to a variety of HVAC & Plumbing system design projects
• Work with multi-discipline staff in designing and implementing mechanical systems in new or existing buildings
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and other project team members as needed to support project design
• Research and apply applicable codes to design
• Perform project site visits during design and construction to ensure proper implementation of the design documents
• Prepare concept, schematic design, design development and construction documents
• Preparation of design drawings & specifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Architectural Engineering or equivalent engineering degree in related field
• Three (3) or more years of related engineering experience in MEP design of HVAC & Plumbing systems
• Engineer in Training (EIT) desired / Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
• AutoCAD and Revit experience
