CNC Lathe Machinist

Join a growing high-tech manufacturing company in Northern New Jersey as a CNC Lathe Machinist. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to machine precision parts.

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine precision parts
• Work with production and engineering teams to address and resolve production issues
• Select tools, holders, and set up tooling parameters
• Ensure that lathe machines are well maintained
• Work in accordance with ISO requirements

• Strong working knowledge of set-up techniques for production and prototypes
• Strong working knowledge of CNC setup and editing with G & M codes
• Ability to set up and operate with stainless steel, tool steel, and all ferrous and non-ferrous metals

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years' machining or lathe experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
• Measurement and inspection skills a must

• Strong aptitude in mechanical blueprints and drawings
• Strong math skills
• Ability to follow process plans, routers, and inspection plans
