Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Part-Time, School-Based)
Location: Columbus, OH

We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team and help us continue making a difference in students lives.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Occupational Therapist to deliver school-based therapy services to students. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with children with various developmental and learning challenges and will work closely with school staff, families, and other professionals to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students strengths and areas requiring improvement. Develop individualized treatment plans and IEPs tailored to each student's needs.
- Therapy & Interventions: Provide direct occupational therapy services, incorporating exercises, sensory activities, and skill-building tasks to support students motor skills, sensory processing, and daily activities.
- Collaboration with Teams: Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to implement strategies that align with students' educational and developmental goals. Attend IEP meetings and offer insights on accommodations and modifications.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and student progress. Prepare necessary reports for IEP reviews and regulatory compliance.
- Continued Professional Development: Stay current on the latest occupational therapy practices and techniques. Engage in ongoing learning and professional growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Must hold a current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Ohio.
- Experience: Prior experience in a school setting or working with children with diverse needs is preferred. Familiarity with IEP processes is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and methods. Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
