Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Pre-K General Education Teacher to join our team in Oakdale, MN for a temporary position from February 3 to June 13. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment for young children. This role will be focused on providing high-quality instruction in a general education Pre-K classroom while ensuring students social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for Pre-K students, adhering to state early learning standards
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment where all children can thrive
  • Assess and track students' progress in key developmental areas, including language, cognitive, and social-emotional skills
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, fellow educators, and staff to provide individualized support for students as needed
  • municate regularly with families regarding student progress, behavior, and overall development
  • Support and encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution among students
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Participate in regular professional development and attend staff meetings as required
  • Work closely with school leadership to ensure alignment with educational goals and curriculum objectives for Pre-K students

Qualifications:

  • State licensure with the correct endorsement for Early Childhood/Pre-K required
  • Experience teaching Pre-K or early childhood education preferred
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent munication and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with young children and their families
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for supporting early learning
  • Available to work for the duration of the temporary assignment, from February 3 to June 13
