Overview:

  • Pay: $16-18 per hour
  • Shift: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday (OT Available)
  • Location: Jacksonville, FL
  • Environment: Climate Controlled

Job Description: 

We are seeking experienced soldering technicians with expertise in surface mount chip soldering. This role involves using solder paste and reflow soldering to attach surface mount devices (SMDs) to printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ability to remove, read, and re-solder these chips, as well as replace capacitors, is required. Additionally, knowledge of through-hole soldering for attaching electronic components to PCBs using physical leads is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and work on diagnosed PCBs from vehicles with provided work orders.
  • Perform removal, replacement, or potential rebuild of circuit board components.
  • Hand solder all components without the use of machines.
  • Handle repetitive tasks due to common issues in certain vehicle makes and models.
  • Complete tasks at individual work stations with all necessary tools provided.

Essential Skills:

  • 1+ years of experience in hand soldering.
  • 1+ years of surface mount soldering experience.
  • Proficiency in through-hole soldering.
  • Experience removing and replacing capacitors.
  • Familiarity with working on PCBs or printed circuit boards.
  • Previous Experience in electronics or automotive industries.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience in electronic diagnostics, tracing, and troubleshooting.
  • Past experience with cable boxes, cell phones, or other circuit boards with SMTs or through-hole capacitors.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Knowledge and application of IPC-A-610 quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Attention to detail in a high-volume, fast-moving, quality-oriented, and high-stress environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00
