Epsilon Systems is seeking a full-time Electrical Trade Specialist in Mayport, FL. Job Overview: This role involves performing complex electrical trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electronics and electrical equipment onboard U.S. vessels and government installations.

  • This position reports directly to the Production Manager and performs tasks as assigned by the project Foreman.
  • The successful candidate will perform component and system troubleshooting to diagnose problems and provide cost-effective recommendations for repairs.
  • Apart from electrical work, this role also involves ensuring control and responsibility for Level-1 material controls in accordance with Epsilon Systems Mission Readiness Group Instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, repair, overhaul, or modification of electronic or electro-mechanical systems and components.
  • Assistance with on-site field service for system grooms and checkouts, minor repairs, and system configuration validation.
  • Preparation and installation of equipment or system alterations, adhering to directives and technical manuals.
  • Notifying the Foreman of any unsatisfactory conditions identified during production operations.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices and adhering to safety regulations.
  • Ensuring all requirements and detailed repair procedures are followed according to company work instructions and management guidance.
  • Inspecting and testing electrical systems and equipment to locate malfunctions using visual inspections and testing devices.
  • Performing standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshooting motor controllers, control panels, and power distribution panels.
  • Completing inspection and resurfacing of commutators and slip rings.
  • Assembling multi-pin connectors and fiber optic connections.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational training.
  • No less than 5 years' experience as a marine electrician.
  • Familiarity with NAVSEA Standard items and ability to follow them.
  • Experience in energized circuit work and basic knowledge of AC and DC electrical theory, power generation, control, and distribution.
  • Qualification in at least two of the following processes: copper multi-pin connector assembly or repair, fiber optic connector assembly, repair, and testing/troubleshooting, soldering of electrical/electronic components, electrical design, diagramming, ESD handling, and workmanship experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work independently or in a group, and perform basic math calculations.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain National Security Clearance Level Secret.
  • Ability to travel and access military and government installations worldwide.

Compensation and Benefits: The estimated annual salary for this role is $90,000.
