Our client is seeking to hire a Dispatcher with a strong focus on customer service and an outgoing personality Dispatchers track and manage drivers. They assign drivers routes, destinations, and timelines, as well as keep in touch with drivers who are on the road. Dispatchers also interact with clients and drivers to keep up-to-date information on routes and schedules. This position requires good organizational skills, flexibility, and initiative. Someone who is excited to contribute to the company’s success by working well with others and helping to promote a winning atmosphere.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Enter variety of data using current technology

·         Prepare and sort documents for data entry.

·         Create and maintain logs for tracking purposes.

·         Review and enter data updates in the systems.

·         Review discrepancies in data received.

·         Advise supervisor of issues related to data.

·         Setting up delivery and pickup appointments

·         Answering phones and interacting with customers and drivers in a professional manner

 

Qualifications:

·         1 -2 years previous experience as a dispatcher or dispatch assistant

·         1 year of Data entry experience

·         Excellent typing skills

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Deadline and detail-oriented

·         Heavy Phone and Customer Service Skills

·         Trucking background, with billing and invoicing a plus

·         Strong problem-solving skills are necessary.

·         Reliable attendance is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Shift: Monday-Friday 7 – 4 pm Pay Rate: $$22 - $30 per Hour (DOE)

Physical Requirements: Work is performed in an office setting and generally sedentary but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. May be required to occasionally lift, carry, push or pull or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds.

 

Experience:

·         Dispatch (1 year minimum)

·         Data Entry experience (1 year)

·         Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

 

Education:

·         High School or GED equivalent (Preferred)
