Pay rate based on experience, starting at $18 per hour.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: oEmployee will drive their personal vehicle (unless other accommodations are made) to client facilities (mostly nursing homes) as directed by company dispatcher or assigned Area Phlebotomy Supervisor/ Area Lead.oFollows established phlebotomy procedures for obtaining blood samples from patients.oProperly and accurately identify patients according to phlebotomy patient identification policy prior to drawing.oEnsures that specimens are properly labeled, in the proper tube and accompanied by a completed requisition, including patient billing information prior to transport.oFollows phlebotomy policy on transporting PHI. oPlans, organizes draw schedule with attention to priority of patients.oCompletes written logs, time sheets and other required records in a neat and accurate manner.oWorks cooperatively with dispatch, payroll, laboratory and courier departments.oMaintains all equipment in good working order and reports problem immediately to Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.oWhen on-duty, answers company issued mobile device promptly and is ready and available to work.oNotifies dispatch of availability for future assignment.oPerform other duties as assigned by Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.QUALIFICATIONSoMust have current clinical Licensure, if required by State.oMust possess knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to laboratory purposes.oProficient in phlebotomy procedures, techniques, including venipuncture, tourniquet application/removal and decontamination of the puncture site.oKnowledge of required specimen preservation, adequate patient preparation and specimen procedures.Must have a current and valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.oMust possess access to a vehicle in good working condition suitable to meet daily driving requirements. oMust maintain a good driving record.oMust be able to work under minimal supervision and accurately maintain time sheet records.oMust understand and be knowledgeable of the resident rights, patient care and patient right to refuse.oAbility to obtain blood specimens from patients under a variety of patient conditions.oProficient in written/verbal skills in the English Language.oAbility to maintain effective working relationships with clients, patients, public and all staff members.oAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.oAbility to take directions and conduct self in a professional manner.Benefits: TridentCare offers a competitive wage and robust benefit package to full time employees.Part time employees are eligible for many of the same below, pro-rated.Benefits include:Two weeks of vacation timeHealth Insurance after 30 daysSick time8 paid holidaysSame day pay availableMedical insurance allowance, giving you the freedom to customize your plan to fit your needsDental insuranceVision insuranceDisability insuranceCompany paid life insurance401(k)#DLEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
