Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Temple, TX, for the 2024/2025 school year. This role involves working closely with students to support their unique learning needs by developing and implementing IEPs. As a valued team member, you will collaborate with school staff and families to provide a supportive and structured environment that promotes growth, inclusion, and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
- Adapt and modify general education curriculum to support students individual learning styles
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students strengths and needs, documenting progress and adjusting goals as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to provide comprehensive and inclusive support
- Foster a supportive, respectful, and structured classroom environment that encourages student growth and learning
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Credential
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Special Education
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues
