Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Port Chester, NY
Employment Type: Part-Time, On-Site
Start Date: ASAP
Work Schedule: 1825 hours per week
Pay Rate: $38$45 per hour (based on experience)

ProCare Therapy is collaborating with a well-regarded school district in Port Chester, NY to find an experienced Special Education Teacher for a part-time, in-person position. We are looking for a qualified candidate with experience in WIAT testing and a bilingual background (English/Spanish preferred) to support students with special needs in a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.

This is a great opportunity for educators who are eager to make a difference in the academic success of students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement tailored lesson plans for students with special needs
  • Provide both individual and group instruction to enhance student learning and behavior
  • Conduct WIAT testing to assess and monitor academic progress
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to support students development
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) preferred to support a diverse student population

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
  • New York State Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain)
  • WIAT testing experience required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience working with special needs students is a plus
