JOB DESCRIPTION:

As QA Supervisor, you'll lead QA technicians, ensuring training and compliance with food safety and quality standards. You'll manage labor costs, report issues, assist with audits, update SOPs, handle customer complaints, and ensure compliance with standards like Kosher. You’ll also oversee document control, conduct shelf-life tests, and run mock recalls. Strong communication and adherence to safety policies are key.

PAY:

  • $23-27/HR ($0.50 Shift Differential for 2nds and 3rds)
  • Pay raise evaluation within first 6 months
  • 10-15 hours/week OT

SHIFTS AT THIS FACILITY:

  • 1ST Shift: 5:00a – 3:30p
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00p – 1:30a
  • Set schedules and no mandatory extra days

ENVIRONMENT:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- 2 or more years of experience:

  • Quality Assurance background in industrial or food manufacturing.
  • Leadership or Supervisory experience

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Education: High school or Equivalent.
  • Be willing to complete drug and background checks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily tasks of QA technicians
  • Ensure appropriate training and compliance with Food Safety and Product Quality assurance standards.
  • Report employee issues and incidents to the Production Supervisor
  • Monitor and manage labor costs by reducing overtime as needed.
  • Assist the QA Manager in aligning processes and employee performance.
  • Develop and update SOPs related to Food Safety and Product Quality
  • Manage food safety programs and host audits
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant specifications.
  • Conduct investigations into customer complaints to identify root causes and preventive measures.
  • Oversee document control, maintain shelf-life evaluations and microbiological testing, and initiate mock recall exercises.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  •  Collaborate with other departments to maintain efficiency and a clean, safe work environment.
  • Enforce all GMP, PPE, and safety regulations and adhere to company policies and attendance requirements.
  • Fulfill any additional duties assigned by the QA Manager.
