Exciting Opportunity: Special Education Teachers Needed in Hamden, Connecticut for the 2024/25 Academic Year

Location:Hamden, CT
Position:Special Education Teacher
Duration: Start Immediately through the end of the school year
Role:Elementary Opening | More details shared during interview with the district
Compensation: $35+ per hour, depending on qualifications

About the Role:

Are you a passionate Special Education Teacher looking for a rewarding role in Hamden, CT? ProCare Therapy invites you to apply for this full-time position where you'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional educational support to students with varying needs. In this role, you will foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, helping each student thrive.

Main Duties:
  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique needs of each student.
  • Offer specialized instruction to encourage both academic progress and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow educators to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom.
  • Adjust teaching methods and resources to accommodate the changing needs of your students.
Requirements:
  • Current Special Education Certification/Licensure in Connecticut
  • Experience in special education preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related discipline (Masters Degree is a plus).
