Caseload: K-12, Cross-Categorical Classrooms
Job Description:
We are seeking full-time Special Education Teachers for cross-categorical classrooms serving K-12 students in Racine, WI, for the 2024-2025 school year. These positions offer opportunities to support students with diverse needs across various grade levels. The ideal candidates will have experience in developing individualized learning plans, adapting instruction, and creating an inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Provide targeted instruction and support within cross-categorical classrooms, accommodating a range of disabilities and learning levels.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive practices.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to support academic and social-emotional growth.
- Participate in IEP meetings and engage with families to support students' educational experiences.
Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Special Education Certification (required).
- Experience working in K-12 special education settings, particularly in cross-categorical classrooms (preferred).
- Skills in IEP development, classroom management, and collaboration.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
