Job DescriptionJob Description

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Cost Accountant to join our client’s team in Columbus, OH. This position will focus heavily on the financial aspects of their construction projects, ensuring they stay on budget and meet financial goals. The ideal candidate will have previous experience monitoring project budgets and running analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee and manage the financials for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgets.

  • Budget Monitoring: Continuously monitor project budgets, identifying and addressing any variances.

  • Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analysis and reporting to support project managers and stakeholders.

  • Expense Tracking: Track and record all project-related expenses, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with financial policies.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including budget forecasts, cost-to-complete reports, and variance analysis.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure financial alignment and transparency.

  • Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in construction accounting or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of financial principles and construction project management.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $87,000.00 per year
