We are currently seeking a Inpatient Staff Pharmacistfor a 26-week travel contract at a hospital in Illinois. This high-volume hospital with a fast-paced environment offers a great chance to gain experience and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Verification: Ensure that medication orders are accurate, appropriate, and in line with hospital protocols.
  • Supervising Technicians: Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians, providing direction and ensuring safe and effective medication dispensing.
  • Consultation: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to optimize medication therapy.
  • Pharmacokinetic Dosing & Therapeutic Drug Monitoring: Perform necessary pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring to ensure the best patient outes.
  • Medication Safety: Monitor medication usage, resolve any potential issues, and ensure pliance with safety protocols.
  • Technology Use: Utilize Cerner for order entry and Pyxis for medication dispensing and tracking.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Current, active Illinois Pharmacist license
  • Must have at least 1+ years of current hospital experience
  • Experience with Cerner and Pyxis

Additional Info:

  • Start Date:Asap
  • Shift Hours:7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, 5x8 Schedule
  • Some weekends and holiday coverage required
  • Duration: 26 Weeks with potential for extension based on performance and hospital needs.
