Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Trucking Terminal Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the trucking terminal, ensuring efficient and safe transportation services. This role involves managing staff, coordinating logistics, maintaining compliance with regulations, and optimizing terminal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

Oversee day-to-day terminal operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of freight.
Monitor and manage the loading and unloading processes to optimize productivity.
Staff Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise terminal staff, including drivers and support personnel.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans.
Logistics Coordination:

Plan and coordinate transportation routes, schedules, and freight movements.
Collaborate with dispatch and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Safety and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and safety.
Implement safety programs and protocols to minimize accidents and incidents.
Budget Management:

Develop and manage the terminal budget, monitoring expenses and revenue.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
Customer Service:

Maintain positive relationships with clients and resolve any service-related issues.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.
Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare regular reports on terminal performance, safety metrics, and financial outcomes.
Analyze data to identify trends and implement improvements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics management.
Strong knowledge of trucking operations, regulations, and safety standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
