Job Posting: Electrical Assembler – Wilmington, MA

Position Overview:
The Electrical Assembler performs a variety of electrical and electronic assembly operations on electro-mechanical systems or subsystems. This role involves determining assembly methods and sequences, even when complete information is not readily available. Assemblers will be tasked with assembling, disassembling, repairing, and wiring devices according to engineering documents, sketches, and directions. The position requires proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as standard electrical/electronic assembly and soldering equipment. Additionally, the assembler must apply knowledge of mechanical and electrical interrelations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of ISO-9001 directives and quality procedures.

Job Duties:

  1. Assemble and disassemble a variety of electro-mechanical systems.
  2. Understand and follow engineering drawings, schematics, wire lists, and/or instructions of moderate complexity.
  3. Perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, and soldering, as required.
  4. Operate hand and power tools to complete tasks.
  5. Perform varied tasks involving system assembly and test requirements.
  6. Train less experienced assembly personnel in electrical assembly operations.

Schedule:

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Supervision:

  • Receives: Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor. Receives direction and work schedules from the Production Coordinator and performs duties with minimal supervision.
  • Gives: Provides guidance to less experienced assembly personnel.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge: Vocational school or high school with courses in shop, blueprint reading, and related mathematics.
  • Experience: Two to three years of electrical/electronic assembly experience.
  • Training: Will maintain up-to-date knowledge of assembly practices, documentation, and inventory standards related to electron beam systems.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $26 per hour plus benefits.
