Job Overview:

The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing accounting, financial, and regulatory reporting for the Firm. This role focuses on supporting the Financial Advisor Compensation Team within the FCG, which assists Field Management. The ideal candidate will be analytical, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to conduct thorough investigations, provide explanations, and take corrective actions when necessary. The role involves collaboration across multiple business units, as well as interaction with Technology and Operations teams.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in financial reporting processes, including income statements, balance sheets, and revenue forecasts. Contribute to summarizing and analyzing financial information for internal stakeholders.
  • Compensation Support: Focus on supporting the Financial Advisor Compensation Team, ensuring accurate compensation-related data and reports for Field Management.
  • Investigation and Analysis: Investigate discrepancies across various business units, working closely with different teams to explain and correct issues related to compensation or financial discrepancies.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work alongside Technology and Operations teams to address issues, find solutions, and ensure smooth operations related to financial reporting and compensation.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate relevant financial information to stakeholders at various levels within the organization.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Education: Associate degree in Finance or a related field, or relevant work experience.
  • Industry Experience: 1-2 years' experience in the Wealth Management or Financial Services industry.
  • Client Service: Strong client service orientation with the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • Prioritization and Multi-tasking: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment and handle high volumes of work during peak periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and problem-solving skills to address issues and ensure data integrity.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools.


Desirable Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information to varied audiences.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
