Special Education Teacher - Tazewall, VA
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year in Tazewall, VA. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special needs.   • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Adapt and deliver instructional materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular updates and feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and strategies to engage students and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Special Education teaching certification in the state.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
