Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient Hospital (Travel) - Orofino, ID
RPH on the go is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a travel assignment at an inpatient hospital in Orofino, ID. This position offers a dynamic environment where you will assist with medication preparation and dispensing under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Ideal for candidates with experience in hospital settings, this role also requires flexibility with shift work.
Duties:
- Prepare and dispense medications as per medical orders/prescriptions.
- Maintain and update inventory records, including receiving and storing supplies.
- Perform clerical duties to support the pharmacys daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and healthcare staff.
- Ensure adherence to regular attendance and predictable schedules.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent work experience.
- Valid Pharmacy Technician license from the Idaho Board of Pharmacy.
- Proficiency in computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to stand or sit for 8-12 hours, frequently bend, lift, and push up to 50 pounds.
- Able to read charts, dials, and printed materials accurately.
Work Environment:
- Typical indoor hospital environment.
- Availability to work all shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.
