Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Mount St. Mary's Hospital. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals under the direction of our pharmacists and other supervisory personnel.
Responsibilities- Prepare and compound medications according to prescriptions and hospital protocols
- Dispense medications to patients and healthcare professionals
- Operate automated dispensing units and other pharmacy equipment
- Maintain accurate records and reports of medication usage and inventory
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication information and concerns
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician Certification from a New York State recognized certifying body
- New York State Registered Pharmacy Technician with active registration and certification
- Licensed in New York State
This is a per diem position with variable hours, including days, evenings, and weekends. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced office/warehouse setting with regular trips to patient care areas.
