Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team. The EHS Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards specific to semiconductor manufacturing. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, who can effectively communicate and conduct training sessions at all organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee EHS policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations. This includes creating comprehensive guidelines that ensure the safety and well-being of all employees and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular environmental and safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the semiconductor manufacturing process. This involves thorough inspections and evaluations to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees, ensuring they are aware of and comply with EHS regulations. This includes organizing training sessions, workshops, and continuous education programs to promote a culture of safety.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, report findings, and recommend corrective actions. This involves conducting detailed investigations to determine root causes and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment and machinery meet safety standards. This includes regular inspections, maintenance checks, and upgrades to ensure all equipment is safe and operational.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) legislation. This involves staying updated with regulatory changes and ensuring the company adheres to all legal requirements.
  • Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and training activities. This includes keeping detailed and organized documentation to track compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills. This involves developing and implementing emergency response plans and conducting regular drills to ensure preparedness for any potential emergencies.
  • Stay updated with the latest safety regulations and best practices in the semiconductor industry. This includes continuous learning and adapting to new safety standards and technologies.
  • Act as a point of contact for all safety-related issues within the facility. This involves being accessible to employees for any safety concerns and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain and submit OSHA Log. This includes accurately recording and reporting workplace injuries and illnesses as required by OSHA regulations.
  • Manage Stormwater permit. This involves ensuring compliance with stormwater regulations and implementing measures to prevent pollution and protect water quality.
  • Manage Hazardous waste. This includes overseeing the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials to ensure environmental safety.
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization to ensure the desired Safety Culture is attained and maintained. This involves working closely with leadership and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Skills Integral to the Job:

  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards specific to semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in incident investigation and reporting.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Desire to maintain industry best practices.
  • Ability to motivate safety committee and front-line leadership.
  • Desire to continue learning during career path and stay abreast of always changing regulations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an environmental, health, and safety role within a manufacturing environment, semiconductor experience preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is highly desirable.
  • Ongoing education regarding changing rules and regulations.

Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
