Family Services Specialist II

This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Annual Salary:

  • Level II H14B: $40,248.00/Annually + Full State Benefits

Travel is Extensive - Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

Days worked will be Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Hours worked may include extended and/or weekend hours.


 

Minimum Qualifications:

Level II: 

  • Education and Experience requirements consist of a bachelor’s degree;
  • OR an associate’s degree plus two years of clerical office work in a business, public sector, or social work environment
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of experience in professional business, public sector, or social work environment for each year of the bachelor’s degree. 

Job Responsibilities

This position is assigned to the Mobile Offices and is responsible for providing social services to children and adults in communities on the Mobile Offices. Duties include evaluating needs, assisting clients through problem resolution, making referrals to other service organizations, and completing eligibility determinations for various social service and assistance programs. Providing guidance and assistance regarding laws, policies, and procedures related to social safety net programs. 

  • Evaluate the needs of individuals and families to obtain information for processing and completing eligibility determinations within established rules and guidelines; and completes necessary case documentation.
  • Participates in staff conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings for the purpose of determining successful pathways for client success in reaching their individual goals and achieving self-sufficiency.
  • Establish, engage, and grow positive and effective community partnerships with interested members of the public, service providers and vendors in a supportive and teamwork-oriented professional manner; works effectively with partners to serve shared customers while maintaining confidentiality.
