Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Birmingham, AL

Duration: ASAP June 9, 2025

Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Caseload: Self-contained class across a variety of schools and age groups, including 1 preschool, 1 elementary, 1 middle school, and 1 high school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in a self-contained classroom setting.

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student development.

  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited college/university.

  • Valid Professional Educator Certification.

  • ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure.

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience in special education or related services.
