Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Security Engineer II in Oakland, California. The primary function of this role revolves around enhancing the security of our web services. This role sits within the tech industry and will be based at our workplace in Oakland, California.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and report vulnerabilities in our web and internal services.
• Assist in the development of new penetration tools to enhance security measures.
• Analyze and triage vulnerabilities reported from external penetration testers and bug bounty researchers.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to discuss and triage potential findings.
• Utilize security tools such as Burp Suite for vulnerability analysis.
• Ensure the security of customer credit information by maintaining accurate credit records.
• Regularly monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on the results of vulnerability analysis.
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver security-related updates and reports to stakeholders in a comprehensive and timely manner.• Proficiency in security-related software and tools such as Burp Suite and Karma.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in areas like Vulnerability Analysis, Triage, and Code Review.
• Ability to work with different stakeholders and effectively communicate security concerns and solutions.
• Expertise in assessing and mitigating security vulnerabilities in web applications.
• Proven ability in producing high-quality deliverables within specified timelines.
• Strong knowledge of credit systems and their associated security challenges.
• Experience in developing and implementing security protocols and measures in line with industry standards.
• Ability to provide guidance and support to other members of the security team.
• Up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in security technology.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
