Job Description

We are a chemical and food additives company specializing in the bulk production of salt, magnesium, and other food products. We are currently hiring for all levels of Analytical Chemists from Entry Level to Senior Analytical Chemists in a Quality Control setting. These roles are new due to an increase in sales and demand and a need for more diverse testing methods for our product line. Candidates will be matched with responsibilities based on their experience and will be trained and groomed over time to take on additional responsibilities. All chemists will interface with the production line, supervisors, and the quality assurance department.

Hard Skills
  • Perform analytical testing using wet chemistry techniques and instrumentation on c-GMP regulated products following compendial methods (USP/NF, EP, FCC, JP etc.)
  • Perform microbiological testing on c-GMP regulated products using compendial methods
  • Perform routine and non-routine testing using basic and advanced laboratory instrumentation
  • Interpret analytical data and assist chemical operators and engineers with applying this data to the manufacturing process
  • Maintain data integrity in both written and digital form
  • Prepare laboratory test solutions and perform standardizations of volumetric solutions
  • Develop and author analytical methods
  • Inventory and order laboratory supplies, instruments, and reagents
Soft Skills
  • Work under general direction of the Quality Control Manager in a c-GMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under Q7A standards
  • Exercise a considerable degree of independence in conducting a wide range of experiments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Enhance site safety
  • Instruct other personnel in specific areas of quality control laboratory testing
  • Lead lower-level laboratory personnel in maintenance and preparation of laboratory materials and equipment
  • Data mining and trending
  • Process validation support
  • Root cause analyses
  • Problem solving
  • Statistical data trending
  • Support for non-conformance investigations
  • Production support activities
Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Work Environment

Primarily in a lab setting but will occasionally work on the production floor, which is not climate controlled.
