Job Opening: Full-Time School Social Worker in Maryland

Position Overview:Soliant iscurrently seeking a passionate and skilled School Social Worker for a full-time, W2 contracted position in Maryland. This role is for 35 hours per week and will likely be assigned to one elementary school building. The selected candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and families to support the social, emotional, and mental health needs of the students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to K-12 students, including individual and group counseling.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive interventions and strategies for students facing emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Conduct assessments, develop social-emotional learning plans, and track student progress.
  • Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and munity resources to ensure students receive appropriate support.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Must hold one of the following certifications in Maryland: LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-C.
  • Experience in a school setting or with children/adolescents is highly preferred.
  • Strong munication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
