Sunbelt staffingisseeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team located in Sunderland, MA. As a School Nurse, you will play a crucial role in promoting the overall health and well-being of our students, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. You will be responsible for providing direct healthcare services, administering medication, conducting health assessments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals, parents, and teachers to address students' individual health needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students' health needs and develop individualized healthcare plans, in collaboration with parents and healthcare providers, to accommodate their specific medical conditions or disabilities.
  • Administer medication, and maintain accurate health records according to state regulations and school policies.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies or injuries within the school premises and provide appropriate first aid and emergency care.
  • Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, including preventive care, nutrition, hygiene, and proper illness management.
  • Maintain the health room's cleanliness, organization, and adequate inventory of medical supplies.
  • Stay updated on current healthcare practices, policies, and regulations to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
  • Previous experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills to identify and address students' healthcare needs effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Current certification in CPR, first aid, and AED.

Job Details:

  • Monday - Friday
