Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will work on high-speed printing press machines, performing both preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment and machinery within the plant. You will work with AC/DC controls, 3-phase motors, conveyors, belts, bearings, drive controls, photo and proximity sensing devices, and encoders. Additionally, you will use schematics to troubleshoot electrically and mechanically, and a multi-meter to diagnose electrical issues. Experience with PLCs, particularly Siemens, is advantageous as you will be interfacing with them to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on high-speed printing press machines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Work with AC/DC controls, 3-phase motors, conveyors, belts, bearings, and drive controls.
  • Operate and troubleshoot using photo and proximity sensing devices and encoders.
  • Use schematics to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Utilize a multi-meter for electrical diagnostics.
  • Interface with Siemens PLCs to check inputs and outputs for troubleshooting.

Why Work Here?

We offer a pay-for-skills program with evaluations for possible raises every six months. Health insurance payroll deductions are based on yearly salary, while dental and vision insurance costs are low. Employees have the opportunity to work towards higher pay rates and enjoy overtime pay at 1.5x after 40 hours.

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing commercial printing press company, surrounded by high-tech and high-speed automated equipment. The environment can be dirty, loud, and dusty in certain areas, and you will work around petroleum-based materials and in confined spaces as needed. The maintenance team operates under a shift system with 1 supervisor and 2-3 technicians per shift. Shifts are 7 on, 7 off nights from 6pm-6am, starting Wednesday night and ending Tuesday morning. The first week includes a normal first shift schedule (8am-4pm) until you are trained and comfortable. Overtime is available at 1.5x after 40 hours. Must be willing to submit to drug and background screenings.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
