Job DescriptionJob Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Warehouse and Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves a combination of forklift operation, kitting, inventory management, and assisting with other warehouse processes. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts, performing warehouse tasks, and supporting a variety of logistics functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities• Receive pads/plugs, check for quantity and quality of materials.• Notify Team Leader of any product defects or concerns.• Unpack and sort items into proper storage bins.• Transport plugs and sound dampener pads to the production line.• Maintain line side inventory of plugs, grommets, and melt pads.• Operate the Tugger in a safe, focused manner.• Ensure all work areas and storage locations are clean and in good housekeeping.• Support and follow all company policies and procedures.• Load and offload trucks from the south dock and transport materials to the appropriate location.• Remove empty containers and transport them to the agreed-upon area.• Load wax according to the specified schedule.• Make daily trips to the Mail Room and deliver packages.• Notify Logistics Lead of any abnormal issues found during the first hour of the shift in all areas.• Ensure materials are ready to be used according to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.• Monitor inventory levels of bulk materials, system materials, and cleaning materials.• Collect and record data including system pressures, temperatures, and tank levels.• Update and maintain the sealer board.• Change sealer system filters according to schedule.• Perform system filter changes as required.• Assist in troubleshooting systems and bringing inoperable equipment back online.• Maintain neat and orderly workstations.• Ensure compliance with all safety training requirements.• Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Lead.
Qualifications Required• Prior forklift and warehouse experience is requested.• Active forklift certification is a plus.• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Experience operating a Tugger is preferred.• Ability to operate a forklift with at least 6 months of experience.• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
