Dates: 2024-2025 School Year

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Caseload: Ages Birth to Five Assisting Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Description: We are looking for a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in Coos Bay, OR, for the 2024-2025 school year. In this role, you will work closely with a Speech-Language Pathologist to support early childhood development and provide services to children from birth to age five. Your work will help enhance munication skills and contribute to the overall success of our early intervention programs.

Requirements:

Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Certificate issued by the State of Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy and interventions to young children.
  • Implement treatment plans as directed by the Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Provide support and instruction to families and caregivers to reinforce therapy goals at home.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and participate in team meetings as needed.
  • Ensure a positive and engaging environment for young children during therapy sessions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with young children, particularly in an early intervention setting.
  • Strong munication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
